Fabulously Fantatstic Functions and Fractions!
For this spring term, I am taking a workshop called Intro to Calculus. It is a math-based class and serves as an introduction to many calculus concepts. I am so far enjoying the class because I like doing math problems and haven't felt very challenged by the math I do in my STEM classes. We've spent the first unit learning about derivatives, tangent lines, instantaneous slopes, and more. This Action Project is a demonstration of that knowledge using a function of our choosing. Since I've been able to understand the work well I chose to use an extra complicated function for this project.
This AP has been fun to complete since I enjoy almost anything related to math. I've had a great time in this class so far and its cool getting to learn more complicated math. I have been on an accelerated math track since third grade and would be taking AP Calculus right now if I were still in public school. I'm happy to have this opportunity to expand my understanding of math and this project has been a cool application of it!
